Another study from sketches undertaken under the cranes in a small ferry boat which kindly passed underneath for me. From a body of plein air works based on Felixstowe and Ipswich docks.

Painted from life. My first painting of the new year. The light was cold and bright and streaming through the window beside me. The shapes became almost abstracted.

Painted from life. I was awarded a residency at an artist's house in north Norfolk which was full of geraniums, the old gnarly sort. I painted a whole series of these, this being the first.
